The videos for the course are hosted on a platform called Vimeo. Some district IT policies block Vimeo in order to ensure safe content for students.
If you are not seeing the videos, you will need to either view the course on a personal device not connected to a district network or request that your district’s IT department unblock Vimeo’s CDN (Content Delivery Network) while still blocking Vimeo directly.
If you are taking the course through your school district, please contact the person at the district through whom you signed up for the course.
The steps the district’s IT department needs to take to allow the videos to show are:
- Unblock vimeocdn.com, vimeo.com/api, player.vimeo.com
- Add vimeocdn.com, vimeo.com/api, player.vimeo.com as Allowed Referrers
- Ensure your web filter allows secure (encrypted) requests from vimeo.com
- Clear the browser cache (in Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.)
If working with the district’s IT department is burdensome, simply view it on a device not connected to the school district’s network.
